Ethical Guidelines for the Studies in Animal and Humans
Animal Care:
§ All animal experiments should comply with ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines.
§ Show proper respect and care for animals when using them in research. Do not conduct unnecessary or poorly designed animal experiments. Reduce the number of animals used in the experiment.
§ Manuscripts containing original descriptions of research conducted in experimental animals must contain details of approval by a properly constituted research ethics committee. As a minimum, the project identification code, date of approval and name of the ethics committee or institutional review board should be cited in the Methods section
Human Subjects Protection:
§ Work which involves the use of human subjects should be carried out in accordance with the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki: Ethical principles for medical research involving human subjects.
§ When conducting research on human subjects, minimize harms and risks and maximize benefits; respect human dignity, privacy, and autonomy.
§ Manuscripts must include a statement that all procedures were performed in compliance with relevant laws and institutional guidelines and have been approved by the appropriate institutional committee(s). The statement should contain the date and reference number of the ethical approval(s) obtained.
