Abstract
This study was preformed to determine the effects of some diseases on acute phase protein and some hematobiochemical parameters in dogs. Our study was preformed on 91 dogs. These dogs aged from 4-24 months old and weighted from 12-15 kg. According to clinical signs and physical examinations, dogs were divided into 5 groups. Group 1was consists of 15 dogs served as apparently clinically healthy dogs, group 2 was consists of 16 dogs and showing signs of diabetes mellitus, group3 (10 dogs) were diagnosed as suffering from paroviral infection, group 4(20) dogs were suffered from non specific diarrhea and group 5(20 dogs) were suffered from respiratory manifestations. After clinical examination, hematological and serum biochemical analysis were preformed. Our results showed that, levels of Hb, PCV and TEC were significantly decreased in parvovirus infected dogs(group3) as compared with other diseased and healthy control dogs.
Biochemical serum analysis showed that levels of serum glucose and BUN were significantly increased in diabetic dogs as compared with the healthy and other groups of diseased dogs. The level of serum albumin was significantly decreased in diabetic dogs and parvovirus infected dogs as compared with the healthy and other groups of diseased dogs. The level of serum creatinine was significantly increased in parvovirus infected dogs as compared with the healthy and other groups of diseased dogs. Regarding the serum levels of AST and ALT, there was a significant increase in their levels in both diabetic dogs and those suffering from parvovirus infection as compared with the healthy and other groups of diseased dogs.
The acute phase protein profile (SAA, HP, ceruloplasmin and CRP) showed a significant increase in all diseased dogs as compared with control healthy dogs.

Key words: acute phase proteins, canine diseases, hematobiochemical alterations
